Unfortunately, real life events (that is, papers and reports, powerpoints, and college applications) often get in the way of those things that we really want to do.
I have not been able to work on the game's music for a few days now, mostly due to school work. Oh yeah, and the fact that Modern Warfare 2 came out didn't help the cause either.
Now I'm doing homework and ranking up in MW2's multiplayer. Modern Warfare is fun, but it gets in the way of my composing... curse you, Infinity Ward for making such an addicting game!!!
That's where everything stands as of now - "The Battle March of the Colonials" and "Valkyrie" stand as incomplete, possibly with several days of work left ahead on each project.

"Valkyrie" Teaser
First of all, let me apologize to anyone who is reading this thread hoping to grab an mp3 sound file demoing the track. It stands as incomplete, so I'm not posting any demos yet.
Let me just say that "Valkyrie" (the backing music for either one or more of the New Galactica missions or New Galactica "Instant Action") is not your average battle music. It is far from it.
Out of respect for Mr. McCreary's wonderful multicultural BSG soundtrack, I'm incorporating some different styles into this one track. You'll hear some cultural instruments from the Middle East, Australia (if you didn't already guess didgeridoo, well, it's in there!), and, of course, some nice percussion from Africa, Malaysia, and Japan along with standard orchestral percussion (timpani, bass/snare drums, etc.).
Wow, that's a wall of text. Let me give you a quick rundown of what I've posted for those who can't be bothered to read the whole thing!
IN BRIEF:
- "Valkyrie" track is W.I.P.
- Short demo track coming soon
- Many instruments from different cultures

Colonial Music Started
Two new compositions are in the works.
The first is entitled "The Battle March of the Colonials" and, as far as I intend (for it's up to the project leaders to decide how exactly the music will be used) it will be used for Old (meaning TOS) Galactica missions.
The second piece is simply called "Valkyrie" (working title) and is designed to be the background music for the New (that is, Re-Imagined) Galactica multiplayer levels.
But hey, really any new music would be good, wouldn't it? As fitting as Armada II's old music was, I for one sure would like to hear some fresh music while I'm playing the game!

Battlestar Armada
Ever heard of the game "Star Trek: Armada"? What about Ronald D. Moore's fantastic remake of the series "Battlestar Galactica"?
Okay, now what would you say if I told you that you could have both... at the same time? That's right, Battlestar Armada is an awesome work-in-progress mod for Armada based on both Galactica universes (the original series and the new 'reimagined' series).
You can check out screenshots, progress updates, and talk to the mod team at the main forum: http://z10.invisionfree.com/battlestar_armada
What's my job? Well, I'm a composer. I have no skill with modelling or creating textures or scripting, but I really wanted to help out with the mod. So, I'm composing the original sound track.
